ASD Solicitors has assisted a young man to obtain compensation after metal entered his left eye.
The client suffered the loss of sight in the left eye while on work placement. He was not provided with any eye protection and the accident occurred when he was watching a colleague operate a machine. Mr A from Sheffield went on to develop depression as a result of the injuries sustained.
ASD’s specialist Serious Injury Team assisted him to obtain £62,000 in compensation for the injury as well as to reflect both past and future losses caused by the accident.
Such was his injuries that he was unable to pursue his chosen career as a welder. He was forced to retrain and go back to college
