ASD Solicitors recently acted for a HGV driver who slipped from the back of a wagon while working for a local haulage company: Hargreaves Transport. The client suffered a serious injury due to a injury at work.
Unfortunately Mr W suffered a fracture to his hip after he fell due to the lack of hand grabs to the rear of his employer’s trailer. Liability was denied and it wasn’t until the day of the trial that Hargreaves admitted responsibility. A number of interim payments were made during the life of the case as, despite rehabilitation, it became clear Mr W was unable to return to work.
