Mrs O was killed instantly when the car she was driving was struck by a negligent driver. ASD Solicitors explained to Mr O that he was entitled to a fixed bereavement payment, funeral expenses, and a dependency claim. The dependency claim included not only compensation for loss of Mr O’s wife’s income, including her pension, but also for the tasks she used to do around the home, such as cleaning and ironing. The insurers for the person who caused the accident made a significant payment for the different heads of claim Mr O was entitled too.
