ASD Solicitors secure substantial payment further to an accident at Debenhams on The Moor, Sheffield.
Our Client had the misfortune to trip over a disguised step as she entered the store. She fell to the floor and sustained a serious fracture to her shoulder which required surgery and unfortunately will leave her in permanent pain.
With the assistance of Solicitor Chris Chappell, Debenhams were forced to concede that they owed our client a duty of care which was breached by the fact that they had not taken any measures to raise awareness of said step. Medical evidence was obtained from a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Care expert, which confirmed not only the significant injury to the shoulder but a significant on-going care claim from our client’s husband.
The claim was dealt with on a no win no fee basis and our Client will receive the full settlement figure of £50,000.
