Sheffield Solicitors help the British Heart Foundation (BHF) save lives
Big-heartedstaff and customersfrom a Sheffield solicitors have raised £2,500 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) over the last year.
ASD Solicitors, on Ecclesall Road, adopted the BHF as its Charity of the Year two years ago. It will continue the partnership next year as well to help the charity in its fight against heart and circulatory disease – the nation’s biggest killer.
Richard Meggitt, Partner at ASD, said: “We all know someone that’s been affected by heart disease – sadly it touches us all. My cousin, James Meggitt, died aged just 45 of an undetected heart condition. It’s good to know that our efforts will make a difference in helping to beat heart disease for good”
Judy Pearson, IT and marketing manager at ASD added: “A lot of the money has been raised by our very generous Clients donating part of their damages to the BHF. We have also raised money on staff social nights including a bowling evening, and Ralph Clark did the National 3 Peaks Challenge last summer. We are a small firm but many of our staff’s families have been affected by heart disease and it’s good to be part of a team effort.”
Lauren Mallinson, Fundraising Volunteer Manager at BHF, thanked ASD for its support and encouraged other companies and groups to back the BHF.
